Manufacturing Process of Spun Poles
At Gandhar Group, Spun poles are manufactured using advanced production techniques to ensure superior strength and quality. The process involves the following key stages
Steel moulds (cylindrical/half-round) are thoroughly cleaned and coated with release oil to ensure smooth finishing and easy demoulding.
Reinforcement cage is fabricated using longitudinal bars and spiral rings (helical reinforcement) as per design requirements.
The prepared reinforcement cage is placed inside the mould and aligned properly with spacers to maintain uniform cover.
High-strength concrete is prepared using cement, fine aggregates, coarse aggregates, water, and admixtures in controlled proportions.
Concrete is poured into the mould containing the reinforcement cage.
The mould is rotated at high speed in a spinning machine.
This centrifugal action compacts the concrete, removes excess water, and forms a dense, hollow, circular section.

After spinning, poles are subjected to steam or heat curing to accelerate strength gain.
Once sufficient strength is achieved; the spun poles are carefully removed from the moulds.
Poles are further cured using water (sprinkling or ponding) for several days to achieve full strength and durability.
Surface finishing is carried out, and edges/openings are checked and smoothened if required.
Poles are tested for:
• dimensional accuracy
• surface quality
• structural strength (load/deflection tests as per standards)

Finished spun poles are stacked properly in the yard and transported safely to site for installation.

Throughout every stage, Gandhar Group remains dedicated to quality assurance and process efficiency, delivering reliable RCC pole solutions for diverse infrastructure requirements.
